PACIFICS TO HONOR PAUL LIBERATORE ON OPENING DAY

Cast of Mountain Play’s Mama Mia to Sing Anthem

The three-time champion San Rafael Pacifics will launch their 2018 season against the inaugural Napa Silverados at Albert Park on June 2nd at 5:05 pm.

“The Napa Silverados will be a tremendous addition to the Pacific Association,” said Pacifics President and General Manager Mike Shapiro.  “I fully expect them to be a strong and competitive team with my old friend Tito Fuentes Jr. at the helm.”

Recently retired Marin IJ music columnist, Paul Liberatore, will be honored during pre-game ceremonies.

“I’ve loved baseball as much as I’ve loved music over the years, so this honor from the San Rafael Pacifics is a special and unexpected thrill for me,” Liberatore said. “I can’t thank the Pacifics enough, and I look forward to seeing all my readers and friends at the ballpark on Opening Day.”

The first national anthem of the 2018 season will be sung by the Mountain Play’s cast of “Mama Mia”.

A Pacifics tradition will be continued as each fan attending the game will receive a commemorative 2018 Opening Day pin courtesy of our partners with Marin Subaru.

Other planned festivities include the awarding of the 2017 Defensive Player of the Year for pitchers to Max Beatty and the annual Martin J. Bramante award to the Pacifics 2017 MVP.
