Admirals Power Past Pacifics 8-3

June 3 2015 The Vallejo Admirals scored seven runs across the second and third innings and held on for an 8-3 victory over the San Rafael Pacifics. Vallejo finished with 11 hits and benefited from three San Rafael errors, while the Pacifics managed six hits. Vallejo broke through with three runs in the second and added four in the third to take a 7-1 lead. The Admirals added their final run in the ninth, while San Rafael scored once in each of the third, fifth and sixth innings. Vallejo’s J. Wong drove in three runs and hit a home run, and J. Hinshaw went 2-for-5 with a home run and two runs scored. M. Cerda also collected two hits, while J. Martinez doubled twice and drove in a pair. Nick Flory earned the win for Vallejo after allowing six hits and three runs, one earned, over seven innings. He walked four and struck out five before J. Evans completed the victory with two scoreless innings and one strikeout. Nick DeBarr took the loss for San Rafael after surrendering 10 hits and seven runs, six earned, in five innings. He struck out seven without issuing a walk. C. Lovejoy followed with three scoreless innings and four strikeouts, and E. Jaffe allowed one unearned run in the ninth.
