Pacifics Rally to 4-3 Win Over Diamonds

June 5 2015 The San Rafael Pacifics rallied from a three-run deficit to defeat the Pittsburg Diamonds 4-3. San Rafael scored once in the fourth inning and added three runs in the sixth to take the lead, while Pittsburg scored twice in the second and once in the third. The Pacifics finished with four hits and no errors, and the Diamonds collected eight hits with two errors.

J. Williams powered the Pacifics offense with two hits, including a home run and a double, and drove in all three of his team’s runs. J. Bekakis and M. Chavez added one hit apiece. Pittsburg’s T. Eppler went 3-for-4 with a double, while N. Oddo had two hits and one RBI and L. Rodriguez drove in two runs.

Max Beatty earned the win after allowing eight hits and three runs in six innings, striking out seven and walking one. E. Jaffe, C. Lovejoy and M. Kershner combined for two scoreless innings before Cory Bostjancic completed the ninth for the save. Pittsburg starter Barrett Phillips took the loss despite allowing only four hits in seven innings; he was charged with four runs, three earned, while striking out five.
