San Rafael Pacifics Rally Past Martinez Sturgeon 7-6

July 10 2021 The San Rafael Pacifics rallied for a 7-6 victory over the Martinez Sturgeon at Albert Park. San Rafael collected 10 hits and overcame a four-run Martinez fifth inning to secure the win, while the Sturgeon finished with 12 hits and committed no errors.

San Rafael scored twice in the first inning and added three runs in the second to take an early 5-1 lead. Martinez answered with one run in the third and four in the fifth to move ahead 6-5. The Pacifics tied the game in the seventh before scoring the go-ahead run in the eighth.

Kyle Ulanday led San Rafael with three hits and two RBI. Ben Tsui added two hits including a triple and scored three runs, while Dalys Binder went 2-for-5 with an RBI. Kairee Tekra also drove in a run, and Corey Davis contributed a double. Martinez received three hits from Jaden France, while Kaelin Robinson, Jason Hare, Bryce Packard and Caleb Natov each had two hits. Hare and Natov each drove in a run, and Kevin Roque added an RBI.

Elliott Banhoff was credited with the win for San Rafael and Steve Domanski earned the save after striking out two in 1.1 innings. Taylor Lewis pitched three innings and struck out four for the Pacifics. Bryce Packard was charged with the loss for Martinez after working 0.2 scoreless innings, while Jayson Summers struck out five in three innings for the Sturgeon.
