Martinez Sturgeon Rally Past San Rafael Pacifics 11-10

June 19 2022 The Martinez Sturgeon overcame a late deficit to defeat the San Rafael Pacifics 11-10. Martinez totaled 11 hits and scored four runs in the ninth inning to complete the comeback, while San Rafael finished with 13 hits but committed three errors.

Martinez took an early 4-0 lead in the second inning and held a 5-2 advantage after six innings. San Rafael then erupted for six runs in the seventh to move ahead 8-5, added a run in the eighth and another in the ninth, but the Sturgeon answered with their decisive four-run ninth.

Tyler Georgeson led San Rafael with three hits and three RBI. Beau Dorman also collected three hits, while John Bicos had two hits and scored twice. Corey Davis Jr. scored three runs and added a hit and an RBI, and Alex Aguilar had two hits.

Kevin Johnson and Juan Garcia each drove in three runs for Martinez, with Johnson collecting two hits. Cam Gardner added two RBI and scored three times. Ellis Stevens earned the win after allowing five hits and four runs in three innings, while Chris Johnson took the loss after surrendering four runs on four hits in two-thirds of an inning.
