Tucson Saguaros Take Down San Rafael Pacifics 12-6

July 4 2022 The Tucson Saguaros defeated the San Rafael Pacifics 12-6 after collecting 14 hits and scoring in six different innings. Tucson built an early 4-0 lead through three innings, then broke the game open with six runs in the fifth. San Rafael answered with six runs in the second inning but was held scoreless over the final seven frames.

Kendon Strachan went 3-for-5 with three RBI and two doubles for Tucson. BJ Minarcin scored twice, drove in two runs, reached base three times and stole two bases, while Brandon Bradshaw went 2-for-5 with a home run, two runs scored and an RBI. Steve Joyner added two hits and an RBI, and Tyler Rumbaugh contributed a hit and two RBI.

Tyler Rumbaugh earned the win after allowing seven hits and six runs in seven innings with seven strikeouts and two walks. David Moore completed the game with two scoreless innings, allowing no hits and striking out four. San Rafael received home runs from Beau Dorman and Alex Aguilar, who each drove in two runs, but John Murray was charged with the loss after allowing five runs in four innings.
