July 24 2022 The San Rafael Pacifics defeated the Martinez Sturgeon 13-7, using a five-run third inning and a three-run fourth to build a 10-1 lead. San Rafael finished with 13 hits, while Martinez recorded nine. The Pacifics also added three runs in the eighth inning after the Sturgeon scored five in the bottom half of the frame.
Beau Dorman led San Rafael with two hits and four RBI, including a home run. Jonathan Waite added two hits, three runs and an RBI with a home run, while Jalil Marinez, John Bicos and Eric Parnow each had two hits. Evan Bacani drove in three runs, and Tyson Thompson contributed one hit, three walks and an RBI.
Nick Diaz powered Martinez with a four-RBI home run. Darwin Tavarez collected two hits, and Alex Dailey scored once and had two hits. Juan Garcia and Tomas Moreno each scored twice, while Garcia and Chris Carter drove in one run apiece.
John Murray earned the win for San Rafael after allowing one run on four hits in five innings with four walks and seven strikeouts. Mike Manley and Alex Aguilar each worked one inning, and Jonathan Waite finished with 1.2 scoreless innings and four strikeouts. Pedro Torrealaba was charged with the loss after surrendering seven runs, six earned, on five hits in 2.1 innings.
