San Rafael Pacifics Roll Past Dublin Leprechauns 17-4

May 26 2023 The San Rafael Pacifics defeated the Dublin Leprechauns 17-4 at Albert Park, finishing with 13 hits to Dublin’s six. San Rafael scored six runs in the first inning and two more in the second to build an early 8-0 lead, then added runs in the fourth and fifth innings before breaking the game open with four runs in the eighth. Blake Diggle went 3-for-4 with two doubles, four runs and two walks for San Rafael. Nick Smith also collected three hits, including two doubles and a triple, while driving in three runs. John Bicos added two hits and four RBI, Grant Victor hit a solo home run and finished with two RBI, and Cam Vollmer had two hits and one RBI. Jayson Summers earned the win after allowing three hits and three runs over five innings, with five strikeouts and four walks. Josh Idell followed with four innings of relief, permitting three hits and one earned run while striking out two. Dublin’s Calvin Cromwell took the loss after recording two outs and allowing six earned runs on one hit and four walks.
