Pacifics Cruise Past Sturgeon 19-1

June 2 2024 The San Rafael Pacifics scored in seven of nine innings and rolled to a 19-1 victory over the Martinez Sturgeon. San Rafael collected 23 hits and built a 12-0 lead through five innings before adding two runs in the seventh and five more in the ninth. Martinez scored its only run in the bottom of the ninth and finished with three hits.

Blake Diggle went 4-for-4 with three runs and three RBI for San Rafael, while Chris Blyskal and Mark Hernandez each had four hits. Blyskal scored three runs and drove in one, Hernandez scored twice and added two RBI, and John Bicos contributed two hits and four RBI. Aki Buckson went 3-for-5, scored five runs and hit three home runs, while Xavier Selway and Bicos also homered three times and drove in one and four runs respectively according to the box score.

Kohto Hasegawa earned the win by allowing one hit and no runs over seven innings. He walked three and struck out three before Jason Hartwick completed the game with two innings, allowing one run on two hits with three strikeouts. Hasegawa also contributed a hit and an RBI.

Erik Estrada took the loss for Martinez after surrendering 11 hits and seven runs in three innings, with four runs charged as earned. Lane Vrba allowed nine hits and seven earned runs over four innings, and Isaiah Clark gave up five earned runs in two innings. Martinezs Martin Rosas had the clubs only RBI and went 1-for-1.
