May 27 2025 The San Rafael Pacifics defeated the Dublin Leprechauns 11-8 after collecting 16 hits at Ofallon Field. San Rafael overcame an early 2-1 deficit with a three-run sixth inning and a four-run eighth to secure the victory. Dublin finished with 10 hits and scored twice in the ninth but could not complete the comeback.
Jorge Rios led the Pacifics offense by going 4-for-5 with three runs and an RBI.
Keith Whitaker added three hits two runs and two RBI while
John Bicos went 2-for-4 with three RBI and a home run. Bicos also hit a double and San Rafael received additional RBI from
Telly Hill Kyle Guerra and
Nick Gajewski.
Dublins
Drew Bayard went 2-for-3 with three runs and an RBI while
Sam Ott and
Damone Hale each had two hits. Ott drove in two runs and Hale added one RBI. Dublin scored four times in the fifth inning to take a 6-2 lead before San Rafaels three-run sixth and two-run seventh put the Pacifics ahead 7-6.
Nick Gajewski earned the win with three scoreless innings allowing one hit and striking out three.
Richard Kiel started for San Rafael and worked five innings with seven hits six runs three earned runs two walks and four strikeouts.
Tim Nichols took the loss for Dublin after allowing eight hits and five runs four earned in six innings. He struck out four and walked three.
