June 14 2025 The San Rafael Pacifics defeated the Vallejo Seaweed 7-3 at Albert Park, overcoming an early deficit with runs in five of the final eight innings. Vallejo scored twice in the first, but San Rafael answered with one run in the bottom half and took the lead with a two-run fourth inning. The Pacifics added single runs in the third, sixth, seventh and eighth innings.
John Bicos led San Rafael with two hits and three RBI, while
Aki Buckson went 2-for-4 with a home run, three runs, one RBI and two stolen bases.
Mark Hernandez added two hits and an RBI, and
Gino Hutchinson also collected two hits. Buckson’s home run was San Rafael’s lone homer of the game;
Jacob Savoy hit Vallejo’s only home run and finished with two hits, two runs and two RBI.
Chris Allen earned the win for San Rafael after allowing six hits and three earned runs in five innings while striking out nine and walking one.
Antoine Valerio followed with three scoreless innings, allowing two hits and striking out two, and
Richard Kiel struck out two in a hitless ninth.
David Gustafson took the loss for Vallejo after giving up seven hits and four earned runs in four innings, with four walks and one strikeout.
