San Rafael Pacifics to host 2025 All Star Game at Albert Park on July 16 2025

The 7th Annual 2025 Pecos League Pacific Division All Star Game will be hosted in San Rafael. This will mark the first time San Rafael will host the Pecos League All-Star Game.

"We are proud to continue the tradition of the San Rafael Pacifics. Hosting our All-Star recognizes our respect and appreciation for Albert Park and the City of San Rafael." says Andrew Dunn of the Pecos League.

"Garden City is a great place for an All-Star Game they always do a job good and the players love playing there." says JD Droddy of the Pecos League.

August 11 2024 The Alpine Cowboys defeated the San Rafael Pacifics 12-10 in a high-scoring contest at Kokernot Field. Alpine collected 13 hits and overcame 12 hits by San Rafael to secure the victory.

Alpine built an early advantage with three runs in the second inning and four more in the third to take a 7-2 lead. The Cowboys added two runs in the fifth, two in the sixth and one in the eighth. San Rafael rallied with two runs in the third, one in the fourth, two in the seventh, four in the eighth and one in the ninth, but could not complete the comeback.

AJ Folds led Alpine with three hits, four runs and two RBI. Drake Angeron and Matteo Avallone each had two hits, while Hunter Reid drove in three runs and hit a home run. San Rafaels Mark Hernandez had two hits and four RBI, and John Bicos added two RBI.

Reid earned the win after allowing eight hits and five runs, four earned, in 6.2 innings while striking out three. Alec Cruz recorded the save with one inning of relief. San Rafael starter Alex Valasek took the loss after surrendering 11 hits and 11 runs, 10 earned, in six innings.

Alex went 7-1 with a 2.07 ERA for the Pacifics. He struck out 102 batters in 69.1 innings only walking 16.

August 4 2024 The San Rafael Pacifics defeated the Bakersfield Train Robbers 9-2 to claim the Pacific Division Championship. San Rafael collected 15 hits and scored in three of the first four innings while limiting Bakersfield to two runs on 11 hits.

The Pacifics took an early lead with three runs in the first inning and added two in the third before breaking the game open with a four-run fourth. Blake Diggle and John Bicos each recorded three hits for San Rafael. Diggle drove in two runs while Chris Blyskal also had two RBI. Beau Dorman scored three times and drew three walks.

Alex Valasek earned the win after allowing two runs on 10 hits over seven innings. He walked one and struck out seven. Caleb Davis and Karon Casey each worked a scoreless inning in relief with Casey striking out one.

San Rafael answered with one run in the second, third and fourth innings before breaking through with three runs in the fifth to take a 6-4 advantage. The Pacifics added two runs in the seventh, and both teams were held scoreless over the final two innings.

Bakersfield broke through with two runs in the fifth inning before erupting for six in the sixth and five in the seventh. San Rafael scored twice in the sixth and added single runs in the seventh and ninth, but could not overcome the Train Robbers’ 13-2 advantage after seven innings.

Blake Diggle led the Pacifics with three hits in four at-bats, including two home runs, three runs scored and three RBI. Beau Dorman added a home run and three RBI, while Xavier Selway drove in two runs and Mark Hernandez also homered. Chris Blyskal contributed two hits, including a double.

Martinez received a three-run home run from Tyler Best, who finished with three RBI. Tony Riley went 2-for-2 with a double and a walk, and Erik Whitfield Jon Fargnoli each recorded two hits. The Sturgeon scored three times in the fifth inning and once in the ninth, but could not overcome San Rafaels early lead.

Xavier Stewart earned the win after allowing four hits and no runs over 2.1 innings, with one walk and four strikeouts. Alex Valasek worked 4.2 innings for San Rafael, allowing five hits and three runs—none earned—while striking out seven. Brendan Flaherty took the loss for Martinez after surrendering seven runs, one earned, on six hits and five walks in four innings.

The San Rafael Pacifics revealed some new jerseys to celebrate their Pecos League Championship.

The Pacifics "Gold Collection" features uniforms with metallic gold trim numbers and San Rafael Script font.

The Jerseys also feature Marin Health Logo on one patch and new Pacifics Bridge Logo on the other sleeve. The jerseys feature Pecos League Champions Logo. The jersey also feature six stars to represent the six championships.

The Marin Golden Gate Barbershop Chorus will perform before the San Rafael Pacifics home opener on May 23, 2024 against the Marysville Drakes. The Barbershop Boys will honor the Pacifics for winning the 2023 Pecos League Championship.

The Marin Golden Gate Barbershop Chorus was chartered in 1954. We have had a stellar history, starting with Musical Director Dave Stevens, and including such luminaries as Val Hicks and Ken Mast.

Since our early days, we have been prominent in the Far Western Districe of the Society. We have provided Champion FWD quartets and choruses throughout the years, and continue to delight large audiences with our well-attended annual shows. Our ever-changing repertoire of ballads and upbeat arrangements includes barbershop standards, the Beatles, the Mills Brothers, Broadway show tunes and movie sound track favorites, popular songs from the past 50 years, contemporary hits, and Holiday classics.

We currently perform several times throughout the year at our annual show, the Marin County Fair, various Holiday sing-outs, and local baseball games. We continue to compete in FWD Division and District Contests, and uphold Chapter principles of good fun, fellowship, fine choral harmony. We"d be delighted to see you at a rehearsal or show !

The Defending Pecos League Champion San Rafael Pacifics have released their 2024 Schedule. 2024 will mark the 12th season of Pacifics Baseball at Albert Park. The Pacific Division of the Pecos League will again consist of six teams exclusively from California.
