The 2025 San Rafael Pacifics season featured some remarkable individual performances at the plate and on the mound. Aki Buckson Explodes for Nine RBIs and Two Home Runs
Aki Buckson delivered one of the most remarkable offensive games of the Pacifics' 2025 season on July 27 against the Martinez Sturgeon.
Buckson went
4-for-5 with four runs scored, nine RBIs and two home runs as San Rafael overwhelmed Martinez 31-4 at Waterfront Park.
The Pacifics scored 31 runs on 24 hits, including nine runs in the fifth inning, six in the seventh and 10 in the eighth. Buckson was at the center of the offensive explosion, accounting for nine RBIs by himself.

Payton Rios Collects Five Hits in 31-Run Explosion
Aki Buckson wasn't the only Pacifics player putting up huge numbers on July 27.
Payton Rios had an extraordinary day of his own.
Rios went
5-for-8 with three runs scored and an RBI. Five hits in one game was one of the top pure hitting performances of the Pacifics' season.
The performance came during a game in which San Rafael accumulated 24 hits and scored 31 runs.

Jorge Rios Goes 4-for-7 with Four RBIs
Jorge Rios also had a huge afternoon in the July 27 victory over Martinez.
Rios finished
4-for-7 with three runs scored, four RBIs and a double. He also drew a walk, reaching base five times during San Rafael's offensive outburst.

Kyle Guerra Drives In Six Against Vallejo
Kyle Guerra supplied one of the biggest RBI games of his season on June 16 against the Vallejo Seaweed.
Guerra went
2-for-6 with a home run, six RBIs and two runs scored as the Pacifics defeated Vallejo 15-13.
San Rafael needed virtually every run in a game that turned into a 28-run slugfest. Guerra's six RBIs led the Pacifics and his home run was the club's biggest power blow of the night.

Keith Whitaker Reaches Base Five Times and Scores Four Runs
The June 16 victory over Vallejo also featured a tremendous table-setting performance from
Keith Whitaker.
Whitaker went
3-for-4 with two walks, a double and four runs scored. He reached base five times and also stole a base.
His ability to continually get on base gave the middle of the Pacifics lineup repeated opportunities to drive him home, and he crossed the plate four times in the 15-13 victory.

John Bicos Reaches Base Five Times Against Vallejo
John Bicos was another major contributor in San Rafael's June 16 offensive explosion.
Bicos finished
3-for-4 with two RBIs, two runs scored and two walks. He reached base in five of his six plate appearances and also stole two bases.
It was an impressive combination of hitting, patience and baserunning in one of San Rafael's wildest victories of the season.

Aki Buckson Hits Two Home Runs in Playoff Victory
Aki Buckson saved another of his biggest performances for the postseason.
On August 1 against the Dublin Leprechauns at Albert Park, Buckson went
3-for-4 with two home runs, four RBIs, three runs scored and a walk.
His two home runs helped power San Rafael to a 9-3 playoff victory. Buckson accounted for four of the Pacifics' nine runs batted in and scored three of their nine runs.

Chris Wright Homers and Drives In Four in the Playoffs
Chris Wright joined Buckson in supplying the power during the August 1 playoff win against Dublin.
Wright went
2-for-5 with a home run, four RBIs and a run scored. Between Wright and Buckson, the two hitters drove in eight of San Rafael's nine runs.
The two power performances gave the Pacifics more than enough offense to take the 9-3 postseason victory at Albert Park.

Alex Valasek Delivers a Dominant Playoff Start
While Buckson and Wright supplied the power on August 1,
Alex Valasek controlled the game from the mound.
Valasek pitched
7 1/3 innings, allowing only four hits and one earned run while striking out six. He walked just two hitters and earned the victory.
Valasek threw 94 pitches and held Dublin scoreless through the first seven innings. It was an outstanding postseason start that combined length, command and run prevention.

Chris Allen Goes the Distance in Five-Inning Victory
Chris Allen delivered an efficient complete-game performance against Vallejo on June 28 at Albert Park.
Allen pitched all
five innings, allowing one run on 10 hits without walking a batter. He struck out three as San Rafael won 13-1 in a game shortened to five innings.
Allen threw 83 pitches, including 58 strikes, and kept Vallejo from turning its 10 hits into significant run production.

Mark Hernandez Drives In Three in 13-1 Win
Mark Hernandez made the most of his opportunities in the June 28 victory over Vallejo.
Hernandez went
2-for-2 with three RBIs, two runs scored and a walk. He reached base in all three of his plate appearances and helped San Rafael build an early lead with six runs in the first inning and five more in the second.

Jonathan Waite Homers and Drives In Three
Jonathan Waite delivered a major blow during San Rafael's 13-1 victory over Vallejo on June 28.
Waite went
1-for-3 with a home run, three RBIs and a run scored. His three-run contribution was part of an attack that scored 11 times over the first two innings.

Aki Buckson's 2025 Season Was Filled with Huge Games
Few Pacifics hitters produced individual games as explosive as
Aki Buckson.
His nine-RBI, two-home-run performance against Martinez was extraordinary, but it was hardly his only big game. He later produced another two-home-run, four-RBI performance in the August 1 playoff victory over Dublin.
Those two games alone produced
four home runs and 13 RBIs for Buckson.

A Season of Big Performances in San Rafael
The 2025 Pacifics featured plenty of offensive firepower. Aki Buckson produced one of the biggest individual games of the year with nine RBIs and two home runs, Kyle Guerra drove in six runs in a victory over Vallejo, Payton Rios collected five hits in one game, and players such as John Bicos, Keith Whitaker, Chris Wright, Mark Hernandez and Jorge Rios delivered memorable games of their own.
The pitching staff also had its moments. Alex Valasek delivered one of the most important outings of the postseason with 7 1/3 strong innings against Dublin, while Chris Allen went the distance in a five-inning victory over Vallejo.
